With this listing you can purchase one of my Padmé Funeral gown costume replicas.
This is a gown I made for myself some time ago. It’s a costume I deeply love and that I love making. Though the cut is rather simple, it requires high quality fabrics, fabric dyeing and fabric manipulation skills and a lot of time.
Materials
The cape is made from hand dyed, hand painted silk velvet fabric. Yards and yards and yards of it. Each centimeter of it is painted by hand by yours truly, and takes a huge amount of time. But even more time goes into embroidering it: all the sequins you see are attached by hand. Thousands of them.
The main dress is made from hand dyed and painted silk muslin or similar available fabric. It has a subtle pearl shine, like the original, and will flow beautifully when you’ll move. The bodice is smocked and the top is embellished with crystals.
This listing is for a floor-length cape. Which is accurate. However, the dress was made to be worn in the coffin, it was not supposed to be used for standing and walking. In my opinion the short version looks a bit weird, so I remade my cape with a train. If you want the extra train (extra fabric, extra time) please contact me via email. Price depends on the length desired.
The dress you will receive with the cape will be sleeveless. The original one had sleeves, but they’re never seen on screen. I find mine more comfortable without them, but they can be added upon request, for extra 50 euros.
Not included
I do not provide the shoes. However I can make the embroidered appliques you can sew on your shoes of choice. Again, these are very time-consuming to make. Should you wish to add them, the pair costs 230 euros. Please email me before purchasing, so I can create a custom listing for you.
The wig is not included, but if you wish to have the wig made by me as well, I will make a special price for you: I love when my costumes are paired with the wigs I make for them!
Fake belly not included. Wig and shoes not included. Japoor pendant not included: you will get the cape and the dress.
Processing time
I need at least 8 months to make this dress. According to the varying queue of commissions, it may take longer. If you need it for an event, please state so BEFORE making the purchase. If you purchase without mentioning the deadline, you will accept that the dress may not be ready on time and that a full refund will not be possible.

My own costume has been accepted by Rebel Legion. That said, their standards change and a lot depends on how you complete it and wear it, so approval can not be granted upon purchase.
