Description
It’s big, light, and very, very pink.
Standing Medici collar, bow-butterfly leg-o-mutton sleeves, and the taste for drama of 1890s. All the drama with the ease of a non-strictly-historical piece, to be worn for your special ocasion. Be it going to the theatre or just shopping for groceries, we endorse it.
The fabric is a silk blend, magenta shot with red. The color has depth and movement, shifting slightly with the light, sometimes cooler, sometimes warmer. It’s not flat, it changes as you move.
Despite the volume, it packs down to almost nothing, so it’s easier to handle and transport than it looks.
This is a structured design: the shoulders, neckline and arm opening are fixed, not adjustable.
Measurements
To check if it could work for you: measure around your shoulders, above the bust, following an off-shoulder line.
If you are over 110 cm (43.5 inches), it might fit. Close to that number, it becomes a bit of a gamble.
To know before purchasing
The fabric had minor imperfections from the start: a few dark inconsistencies in the weave. They are barely noticeable when worn. I chose not to discard the fabric, to avoid unnecessary waste. The piece remains visually and structurally solid. Imperfections are subtle and visible only on close inspection.
Notes
I will not be making replicas of this cape. Not in other sizes and not in other colors. If you like this, I would suggest to get it before someone else does.
Despite that, you are not welcome to copy this piece, not in other sizes and not in other colors.
