Watercolour on paper, 20 × 15 cm (7.9 × 5.9 in)
Inspired by the visual language of the 1920s,with a touch of Paul Poiret and Erté.
I used the natural blooming of the watercolour as part of the design rather than trying to control it: the pigment spreads creating a suggestion of a textured fabric.
These are all original, one-of-a-kind pieces, as usual. They are a lovely way to help me keep my art supplies box well fed.
