Description
The dress
This is a design I sketched for myself, for an event I did not have the time to sew for, in the end. Though the memory of not being able to go is still bitterweet, I still love the design very much.
It will be made from black denim fabric and built over a boned corset-like structure. The decoration will be painted over the edges, with a mix of bleach and gold, giving it a sort of theatrical feel.
It was originally inspired by a tapestry I had seen in Galleria Franchetti, Venice.
How it works

This piece was originally reserved as a bespoke project for another client. The project was unfortunately interrupted before I could begin construction, but the first instalment has already been paid.
If you would like to take over this as a bespoke commission, the first instalment will be paid directly to the original client. This avoids unnecessary double payment-processing fees: these are not always visible on your end when using PayPal, but they are deducted from the amount I actually receive.
The dress will then be made for you, according to the original project specifications, and placed in my current bespoke waiting list.
Please note: if this project remains unsold when I have completed my current bespoke waiting list (the waiting list as it stands in August 2026), I will proceed with making the dress as a standard ready-to-ship size and it will subsequently be offered for sale as a finished piece.
In that case, the finished dress may no longer be available in your size, and a standard-size garment naturally has limitations when it comes to alterations and fit.
So, if you are genuinely interested in having this particular design made for you, please do not wait hoping that it will eventually become available as a ready-to-ship piece in exactly the size and configuration you want. Taking over the bespoke project now is the only way to secure it as a made-to-size commission.
There is probably a year to wait, before I can start, so there is all the time to set up a Payment Plan.
