An original costume sketch for La Parisienne, one of my bespoke designs currently available on my website.
Somewhere between the dream of a Gothic gown and a Victorian fancy-dress costume with distinctly bat theme, La Parisienne was designed to be a little bit wicked. And the dress I would have drooled-on, in my 20s.
I drew the figure following the language of historical fashion plates and costume sketches, with my own twist. I particularly like her rather mischievous expression, which seemed entirely appropriate for the look.
These are all original, one-of-a-kind pieces, as usual. They are a lovely way to help me keep my art supplies box well fed.
