 The dress

I will do my best to replicate this dress in your size, to study technique and constructions of antique garments even further. My reference for cut and constructions will be the dress in Patterns of Fashion, which you can see in the picture.

I have selected a lovely striped silk dupioni in pastel pink. It will be super fluffy and airy in the final result. It will make you feel like a confectioner dressed you.

 

How it works

This dress already the main material, which is a beautiful striped light pink dupion. I just need a person to make it for.

It will include the robe, petticoat, and fake vest. The PRICE RANGE is between 1600 and 1800 euros depending on the price of the materials I still have to source. My plan is to make it to study the original pattern and I will alter it to your measurements. My wish is to remain as faithful as possible to the main dress, though the price does not include the trim at the edges of the pleated elements. I will reserve some room for changes to the design, though the style of dress, the fabric and the silhouette will remain. I will not do the lower dyed trim.

You need to already have a good pair of stays, a pair of false rumps or back padding and a petticoat. Though I accept commissions for this in all sizes, and I am willing to make this dress smaller or larger than the original, you need to have a pair of stays that shapes your body nicely and gives good contrast between hips, waist and bust, whatever your circumferencea are. I will take the liberty to reject commissions requests with undergarments that do not fit the requirements of the dress.
