Description
It took me some time to decide to offer this listing.
Why? Because repetitive work takes away the joy of creating.
This format allows me to keep the process interesting, creative, and enjoyable — for both of us.
With this listing, you will tell me which style of dress you plan to wear over the corset.
I will need at least a specific decade, ideally the exact year.
I do not accept vague requests such as “something for all the Victorian era.”
What This Listing Includes
• A mock-up and video fitting session
This service is rarely offered by other makers. It involves several hours of extra work: drafting your pattern, creating a mock-up, fitting it together via video call, and adjusting the pattern accordingly. This ensures excellent fit and comfort.
• Full design freedom on my side
Based on your body shape and chosen era, I will select the corset model, fabric, color, lace, flossing, and other design elements. You will not choose individual design details.
• A unique and one-of-a-kind corset
I will choose beautiful materials suitable for historical corsetry, including unique fabrics, trims, and embellishments that make each piece one of a kind.
• A lightweight, single-layer construction
Boned with a mix of steel and synthetic baleen, for both comfort and support. The fabric may not be coutil, but this is intentional. Many original corsets were made from lightweight materials like taffeta and brocade. Some were so fine they were nearly translucent. This piece will be a delicate and fine piece, suitable for a lady’s closet.
• A true historical shape
I do not make tubes. You will receive a well-shaped, supportive corset with proper curves and the goal of decreasing your waist measurement within comfort. The mock-up fitting allows us to fine-tune the silhouette to your body and achieve the most dramatic result.
• A bespoke pattern drafted from scratch
Every corset is inspired by antique pattern or originals, but each pattern individually drafted to your exact measurements, not merely adapted, and it does make a difference. I do not use pre-made or adjusted commercial patterns. This is full bespoke work, offered at the price many charge for made-to-measure.
• Era options
You may choose a style from any year between 1840 and 1915.

Please read carefully before purchasing:
This listing is for a corset designed and created in my signature style, not a made-to-order commission based on a specific vision you already have in mind. There are many talented corset makers who specialize in custom work tailored to detailed client specifications, I am not one of them.
My approach is design-led. I work on a limited number of projects and accept only the ones that creatively inspire me. This means I do not accept requests where the design is mostly predetermined. For example, “I definitely want pale pink satin with black lace at the top and bottom, but you can decide the rest.” Requests framed this way will result in the cancellation of the commission.
The price for this type of piece is intentionally lower than what I would normally charge for a fully bespoke corset. This reduced rate reflects the nature of the process: you’re trusting me with full artistic direction. If I offered a higher-priced listing for a fully custom corset built entirely around your vision, that would be a different service, which I am not interested in offering.
If you would like a historical corset made by me, it must be one I am excited to create. My strength lies in my design choices; that is what makes working with me unique and worthwhile. Removing that aspect takes away both the creative joy and the true value of my work.
Crafting Timeline
The crafting time for your corset starts at approximately 3 months, but may take longer if there are delays in receiving your measurements, returning the mock-up, or scheduling the required video call. Your corset will be added to the end of my current commissions list at the time of purchase.
I usually aim to send the mock-up earlier in the process, so that by the time your slot arrives, I already have a fitted base and can move forward with the final garment. However, if you have a strict deadline, please email me before placing your order to confirm whether I can meet it.
Payment Plans
I do offer payment in two instalments: the first is due at the time of purchase to reserve your place in the queue, and the second will be required before the garment is shipped.
Monthly payments are not available for this listing. I only offer monthly instalments for higher-priced commissions, on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions about payment options, feel free to reach out before ordering.
Important Information – Please Read Carefully
As part of the commissioning process, you will be required to provide an email address that you actively check. You must reply to all messages that require a response within 20 days. I hold myself to the same standard, and although there may be delays during August and the Christmas period, I will respond as soon as I am able.
If you fail to reply within 20 days to a message that requires your input (for example: measurement requests, scheduling a video call, confirming your shipping address, or similar), I reserve the right to pause work on your commission. If necessary, I may cancel the project and refund your payment upon request, deducting any costs already incurred. These may include the cost of materials, time spent drafting your pattern, sourcing supplies, preparing a mock-up, and other preliminary work.
This policy is in place because unresponsiveness can significantly delay or compromise the process. It has happened before, so I kindly ask that you keep an eye on any emails from me throughout the duration of your order.
