This is what happens when your GM has fun.

During covid lockdown, I had in my hands an old pair of Tudor stays, and plenty of purple silk dupion. When Dark Crystal Age of Resistance came out, I was deeply inspired by the fabric manipulation in the series. So I had to create something inspired by it!

I will not spoiler the end, but I do like the dark side of some characters, so I wanted to portray that, with the labirynth-esque feel of the design. So this is the result: a dress that can create a proper fairlytale around the wearer.

 

The dress

Ombré dyed silk dupioni confection, built over tudor inspired stays. Full description and details here. It has crystals, it has feathers, it has lace, it has tarlatan, it has iridescent metallic printed silk chiffon… it has it all. And the shape!

If you’re looking for clean insides though, this dress is not for you. But if you are looking for something that will build a fairytale around you, you need to have this.

No accessories included: just the dress and the stays it is sewn to.

 

 

Measurements

Made for a 105cm bust, 86cm of uncorseted waist, 167cm height.

It laces at the back, so it can adjust to larger sizes as well.
