A moth, but make it Mugler, make it Galliano, make it Erté.

 

The dress

Let’s start with a proper corset, a cincher that takes your waist in until you look like a proper wasp-ahem- moth. Then we have a jacket-like top, structured, in faux fur worked and painted to look like the coat pieces you see below, with matching burgundy accents.The bust is enhanced, almost bullet-like, ending with two conical studs.

From the dramatic shoulders, two long chiffon sleeves come down, painted to look like wings.

The same technique is used to create a dramatic pencil skirt, padded at the hips.

All is completed by gloves and cap.

 

How it works

The PRICE RANGE: can be made for 3000.

You can add up to 300 euros for extra beading, embroidery and embellishment (beads on the cap, nails on the gloves, beaded accents shining among the faux fur).

I may make minor changes in the design while working on it, but the final work will be true to the feel of the sketch.

Crafting time depends on the current commissions list. I will need at least 18 months to make this. If you have a deadline, please inquire BEFORE placing your order.
