I dearly love 1950s and 60s movies where they made historical clothing with their own point of view and silhouettes. A mid-century bustier for a medieval gown should be very wrong, but somehow it brough us some unforgettable moments.

And that’s what I want to do with this design, adding a bit of GM’s taste.

 

The dress

I hate working with it, but the moment I see the finished thing, I am happy of its beauty: velvet. This time it may be good quality stretch one, to accomplish a super smooth finish.

As I said, there will be a 1950s style bustier, like the one I had under my Snake Queen dress. It will give the illusion of you being naked under the dress and things being just like that with no need of help.

The neckline will be in lattice work, probably in soutache, and will keep the dress up and in place, even the heavy sleeves. The velvet will start so low that it will basically cover your nipples.

I want this to be very seductive, feminine, tempting. The right dress for an evil queen or sorcerer.

 

How it works

For once the dress can be in a color of your choice (green, teal, blue, purple, grey, brown, red, burgundy, orange, black, yellow- choose among these, please do not ask for a more specific shade).

The PRICE RANGE: can be made for 1300.

You can add 700 euros to have it made in silk velvet (the thing is both pricey and nasty to sew, but is a thing of beauty).

I may make minor changes in the design while working on it, but the final work will be true to the feel of the sketch.

Crafting time depends on the current commissions list. I will need at least 10 months to make this. If you have a deadline, please inquire BEFORE placing your order.
